1983 Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
A passionate tale, the story is about Rameshan (nivin pauly) who is mesmerized with India winning the world cup in 1983 and from then on, he becomes a passionate lover of the game. He loses his education and even his sweetheart but is ready to play the game for his friends and the local clubs. Years pass by and his passion continues but the twist occurs when Rameshan notices his ten year old son holding the heavy bat like it was just a light weight. What happens from there forms the rest.
1983 Malayalam Cinema Review
Presentation:
The director has come up with a different storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was engaging. The dialogues were well written. The script was unusual and the screenplay made it lot better. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was impressive. Editing was sharp and added value. Costumes were well designed to suit the backdrop while the art department was realistic. Nivin Pauly gave an impressive performance and this is one of his best, Nikki Galrani was sexy and pretty, she was good. Anoop Menon was apt to the role, Jacob was neat, Gregory was good, Rajeev was regular, Jiyad was adequate. Others did their bit as required and added value.

Conclusion:
The amount of impact the game of cricket has on Indians needs no introduction and taking that as the cue, the filmmaker has come up with a good tale. The first half revolves around the ups and downs of the protagonists and the interval bang was interesting. The second half was more appealing as it had the right balance of drama along with strong passion. Overall, this is a film which can be watched for the way it has been made and the connect it has. At the box office, this is going to be a profit grosser.

Bharatstudent verdict: Worth watching, satisfactory!
