Pranayakadha Malluwood Movie Review
Story:
A stale tale, this is about Anand (arun) who falls in love with a teenage girl Rita (swarna) and she also loves him. Both decide to elope but Rita is a minor. So, they take the help of their friend Seban (govindan kutty) and escape into the forest. The plan is to wait till Rita turns 18 and then go for register marriage. However, Seban has few other plans which can destroy the love story. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a romantic storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was not great. The dialogues were usual. The script was below average and the screenplay was spineless. The background score was melodious but songs were not catchy. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was neat. Costumes didn’t have much to do while the art department was natural. Arun Narayan looks handsome and he did his bit as required. But Swarna Thomas was attention grabbing with her expressiveness. Govindan Kutty was upto the mark. Others didn’t have any scope.

Conclusion:
Love stories come in plenty but if they are not packed in the right proportion then it turns out to be a boring product. The same has happened in this one. There is no variety or nothing new in the plot. The first half goes about with elements of romance and some sentiment. The interval bang was predictable. The second half gets into some serious stuff and the climax was quite familiar. Overall, this is a film that doesn’t have enough to sustain audience interest. At the box office, it would be a letdown.

Bharatstudent verdict:
