I Love Me Malluwood Movie Review
Story: A good tale gone bad, the story begins with Savy (unni) who makes small income by giving ‘quotations’ and his mom is unaware of it. On the other hand, there is Prem (asif ali) who is a major scamster and he makes money through fraudulent land deals. Both of them land in jail for what they do and here they get to know each other. The story takes a turn when a Bangkok based businessman Ram Mohan (anoop menon) bails them out and gives them a mission. Both come to Bangkok where they meet Samantha (isha) and fall in love. But as they go deep, they discover that the mission was to kill each other. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was engaging in parts.  The dialogues were well written, the script was alright and the screenplay was moderate. The background score was nice but songs were not great.  Cinematography was decent. Editing was required in the second half. Costumes were trendy and the art department was appealing. Unni Mukundan did his bit as required and scored. Asif Ali was energetic. Isha Talwar looks very pretty but she needs to work on her performance. Anoop Menon was apt. Biju Pappan failed to deliver.

Conclusion: Coming up with a thriller often requires a deft screenplay and the twists should be in a proportion so that the audience doesn’t get lost. In this, the film has too many twists which complicates the entire plot. The first half looks promising with smooth narration and good scenes but the second half gets twisted and confusing. Overall, this is a film which will work for thriller lovers but it doesn’t leave a great impact. It could be an average fare at the box office.

Bharatstudent verdict: Good plot but could have been shaped in much better way
