Chennaiyil Oru Naal Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A message oriented tale the story begins with Karthik (sachin) a journalist who is on his way to interview superstar Gautham (Prakash Raj). But he meets with an accident and reaches a brain dead situation. On the other hand, Gautham’s daughter Riya is battling for life and she needs a heart transplant. This brings commissioner Sundara Pandian (sarath kumar) to take the risk of transporting Gautham’s heart to Riya’s operation table. This job is taken up by cop Satyamoorthy (cheran) who offers to drive. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a sensible storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was efficient.  The dialogues were neat. The script was average but the screenplay was appealing. The background score was well tunes and Cinematography was catchy.  Editing was required at few places. Costumes suited the occasion while the art department was apt. Prakash Raj was perfect, Sarath Kumar was standard, Radhika was regular, Cheran was cool, Sachin was good, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan was natural, Prasanna was effective. The others did their bit and added value to the film.

Conclusion:
The film is the remake of the Malayalam super hit movie ‘Traffic’ and just like the original even the remake has been depicted neatly. But then it faced few hiccups in terms of the pace and also due to the presence of unwanted songs. While the first half takes off slowly and reaches a stage at interval bang it is the second half which has got some pulsating moments. Overall, this is a film which is meant for thinking audience and it would be a decent grosser at the box office.

Bharatstudent verdict:
Sensible and matured concept, can be watched
