Taj Mahal Tollywood Movie Review

Story:
A stale tragic tale, the story begins with Ajay (sivaji) who is a student in the engineering college. His life takes a turn when he comes across the beautiful Shruthi (shruthi) who hails from a wealthy family. It is love at first sight for him and since then he begins to build his own dreams. However, what he doesn't know is that Shruthi is already in love with another person. His name is Kumar but then, Shruthi has never seen him. They are telephone friends and even Shruthi's father (nasser) who is aware of this relationship has no qualms about it. Why does he accept this unusual relationship? What happens to Ajay's sincere love? All this forms the rest of the story.

Taj Mahal Telugu Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director attempted to come up with a heart touching tale but then he was not upto the mark either in the presentation or narrative. The dialogues were routine, the script was weak and the screenplay was pathetic. Background score was alright but songs were not appealing. Cinematography failed to impress. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were decent and the art department was justified. Sivaji did his best to bring life into the film but in vain, his image and his role were total contrast. Shruthi looks really beautiful but then she will have to work hard on other aspects to become a leading lady, Nasser was regular, Brahmanandam was good in parts, M S was hilarious, Raghu Babu was standard, Venu Madhav could have been better, the others didn't have much to speak about.

Conclusion:
The film happens to be the remake of the Kannada movie 'Taj Mahal' which turned out to be a very big hit there. However, the makers were unable to perceive the same here as well. The opening of the film is quite confusing and it is after ten minutes that one understands what is happening. While things are okay till interval, the second half dwindles big time leaving the audience scratching their heads. The film suffers heavily due to very poor production values and sub standard technical aspects. At the box office, it will be hard for the venture to survive.
