Ontari Tollywood Movie Review
A racy action thriller, the story begins with Vamsi (Gopichand) who is the darling of a happy family of mother, two elder brothers and kids along with close friend Subbu (Sunil) and Raghava (Kanakala) who becomes an MLA, they own a famous saree shop headed by his father Muddu Krishna Rao (Parachuri). One day Vamsi sees Kanakamahalakshmi also known as Bujji (Bhavana), an orphan and falls in love with her at the first sight. Also, her kind nature draws Vamsi to her and in a fabricated way posing as a CBI officer, he gets close to her. Trouble begins when Panda (Ajay) younger brother of Lal Mahankali (Ashish Vidyarthi) the notorious criminal sets his eyes on Bujji and misbehaves with her. Vamsi teaches Panda a good lesson and unable to bear the insult they kidnap Bujji before her engagement to Vamsi, Raghava who has been helped by Vamsi in all ways backstabs Vamsi and helps Lal. Bujji is raped by Panda and Vamsi is beaten badly and admitted in hospital. He recovers and sets on a vengeance mission to end all those who created havoc in their lives. So why exactly is he called Ontari? What happens to his family? All this forms the rest of the story.

Ontari Telugu Cinema Review
Director Ramana has come up with a decent affair in this action packed movie. The plot is routine to the regular Gopichand movies but then this time the suspense element has been presented well, the narration of the story and its presentation were stitched well. However, the film lost its momentum due to repeated flashbacks and the movie felt a bit dragged in few places. Full marks to screenplay for providing full clarity since the film looks a bit confusing for sometime. The music has been good and two numbers will appeal the mass audience. Costume selection for the lead pair is good, makeup however needs to be careful since Gopichand looked a bit extra painted when it came to songs. Editing is crisp in few shots. Coming to the cast, Gopichand once again came up with a high octane performance, however this time there were not many screams from his end, he has built a good physique and has shown good improvement in his steps too. Bhavana who is making her debut in Telugu gets pass marks and did her role well as the innocent girl. Ashish and Ajay were regular while Sunil and Ali did their bit as comedians. Sayaji Shinde as the cop was bearable. The supporting cast carried out their roles with required performances.
Ontari Filem Review
An action pot boiler mixed with suspense and intelligent screenplay, the film starts off on a good momentum and the first half leaves the audience guessing for quite some time. The highlight of the film is the second half when the plot uncovers and the truth is revealed, though it has not got the kind of punch that is expected in Gopichand starrer, the film manages to land safely in the climax. There were moments of slow pace and non situational songs but then the makers will recover their money with decent profits with their routine formula.
