Masth Tollywood Movie Review

Story:

A stale tale, the story begins with three friends in the form of Siva (Sivaji), Balu (Srinivas Reddy), Pandu (Ali). Siva is blind while Balu is dumb and Pandu is the only man with all organs intact and helping them out with everything. Their life takes a turn when they chance upon a new girl Anupama (Anchal) and as per her story, they decide to bring her home and let her stay with them. For this, they have to keep the house owner (Brahmanandam) in dark. For a reason to impress her, both Siva and Balu decide not to reveal their disabilities and one can imagine the various events that take place in this process. All this apart, the reason Anupama lands up in such a situation is due to the fact that she is being chased by Bahadur (Mukul Dev), the local don who wants her at any cost and whether these three men are able to protect her from him or not forms the rest of the story.

Masth Telugu Cinema Review

Presentation:

The director has come up with a storyline that is a bit bizarre and both his presentation and narration fell flat on the ground. The script was written shoddily, the screenplay was below average, music was nowhere near perfect and cinematography was dull. Editing was numb and the other departments barely did anything to make their presence felt. Sivaji was nowhere near his perfection and was just a face in the crowd, Srinivas Reddy was weak, Ali was underutilized and despite the presence of Brahmanandam, Sunil and Raghu Babu, not one comedy track was worth a laugh. Anchal did her best with the skin show and oozed out glamour but looks and performance are still amateur. The others need no mention here.

Conclusion:

The film has been the perfect example of how the patience of the viewer can be tested for a marathon two plus hours. Agreed that comedies do not have logics in our circuit, but then it cannot be so ridiculous that one finds it more irritating than anything else. While the first half was silly with its immature comedy elements, the second half is more annoying and pushes the viewer to the limit. This has nothing to feel good about and the film will sink in no time.
