Kulumanali Tollywood Movie Review

Story: A horrible tale, the story begins on the backdrop of the hill station Kulu Manali. Here come a group of friends comprising of Krishnudu (krishnudu), Rishi (shashank) and others (bhupal, archana, sameeksha and others). However, what starts as a fun trip begins to get scary as a hooded killer is on the loose and he is chasing the group of friends killing them one by one. At this, the group approaches the police inspector Pravallika (vimala raman) and the local guide Harsha (harshavardhan). The chase for the killer begins but there is a link between the killer and the group. What is that link and how things end forms the rest of the story.

Kulumanali Telugu Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with a supposedly thriller storyline and while the presentation was poor, the narrative was terrible. The dialogues were dull, the script was very weak and screenplay was lacking strength. Background score was okay and two songs were neat. Cinematography was just okay. Editing was required especially during the first half and in between the second half. Costumes were average while the art department was adequate. Vimala Raman comes with a performance oriented role than glamour but still carries that raw sex appeal, Archana was alright, Shashank was not used to his potential, Harshavardhan was effective, Krishnudu was regular, Sameeksha looks sexy, Vinay Mohan brought few smiles.

Conclusion: Right from the word go, the film comes across with spineless writing and tasteless appeal. Despite the presence of good locations and a fairly seasoned cast, the director was unable to extract the right juice. Moreover, the subject chosen is a rehash of various Hollywood thrillers. While the first half goes about with some silly comedy and elements of romance, the second half tries to be serious. The revenge angle was ridiculous. Overall, this is a film filled with chaos and mindless sequences. At the box office, this is sure to drown without a trace.
