Krishna Tollywood Movie Review

After the debacle of 'Okka Magadu', the New Year and Sankranthi now look brighter with 'Krishna'. The film is about Krishna (Ravi Teja) who was once a software engineer but quits his job to give it to his friend and is unemployed in the city of Vijayawada. Sandhya (Trisha) is a girl from Hyderabad who studies in college and comes to Vijayawada for her vacation to stay with her brother Bobby (Brahmanandam). Krishna falls in love with Sandhya at first sight and starts chasing her to win her heart and enters the upper portion of their house as tenants with his brother (Chandramohan) and sister in law ( Sudha). Mistaking him to be one Tapori , Sandhya hates him first but later on she realizes his true nature . She returns to Hyderabad and lives with her other brother (Shinde), a former builder and now a very powerful Rowdy who is very possessive and protective about his sister. Krishna follows Sandhya to Hyderabad and works his way into their house with the help of Bobby and finally both of them confess their love. There, Krishna knows the flashback of Sandhya and how she is being chased by the notorious and cruel Jagga (Mukul Dev) assisted by his uncle (Jayaprakash Reddy) for marriage. The smart fellow that he is, Krishna hatches a plan to save Sandhya and her family from the Villain and how he ends up marrying her forms the rest of the story.

Krishna Telugu Cinema Review

V V has done a good job with his product. A pacy entertainer, Vinayak had total grip over the film and at any point did not leave the audience empty minded. His narration and presentation were professional and the way the whole story is stitched has been shown with full clarity. Chakri has scored some catchy tunes and three numbers have strong chances of making it to the hit list. He was well aided by Dharani with his background score. The editing has been crisp and the impressive part of the songs was the steps which were well choreographed. The costume department has done a decent job. Few scenes like the fight sequence at the bangle stores and the climax scene where trucks fly in air has been hair rising. A car chase sequence involving Scorpio vehicles was well captured. A major credit goes to the camerawork which was able to picture the action and the beautiful locales of Malaysia during the songs with perfection. Ravi Teja was very energetic as usual and his unique dance style and dialogue delivery impressed the mass audience a great deal. Trisha was a revelation of beauty and as V V rightly said she sure looks hot and glamorous. Brahmanandam as Bobby was a show stealer and his impeccable sense of timing with his expressions is par excellence. Jayaprakash Reddy with his peculiar dialogue delivery was very good. The other cast like Sunil, Venu Madhav added a great deal to the comedy which comprised the major part of the film. Sayaji Shinde and Mukul Dev had nothing much to offer except those serious scenes.

Krishna Filem Review

A routine love subject packed with enough mass elements and action but the credit lies in the way the whole thing was handled. A fast moving film with some good sense of comedy and a witty script has worked well, this added to some matured direction has made the film a full length entertainer. While the first half just breezes through with the comedy and the love tracks with some action scenes, the second half takes care of the flashback and the violence angle. However, there were few moments in the second half where things got a bit dragged but a quick climax kind of made up. Rest all went well with the film and it will surely find its place in the heart of the mass audience. While there is not much for the audience to take home, the film provides good relief and entertainment as long as you are watching it.

Bharatstudent verdict : A busy entertainer with enough doses of comedy and action. Worth a watch!!
