Gabbar Singh Tollywood Movie Review

Story: A mass masala tale, the story is in the backdrop of Kondaveedu. Here comes the inspector who likes to call himself Gabbar Singh (Pawan Kalyan). He fights injustice and helps the needy but doesn’t like to be called as hero. Gabbar Singh falls in love with the reserved Bhagyalakshmi (shruti) and many of his efforts to win her heart don’t work. Meanwhile, the local leader Siddhappa Naidu (abhimanyu singh) who is aspiring to become an MLA rules the area with his muscle power. Gabbar Singh stands against him and begins to foil his attempts. But Siddhappa Naidu uses his political brain to corner Gabbar. How he resolves this issue and what happens to his love story with Bhagyalakshmi forms the rest of the story.

Gabbar Singh Telugu Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with a remake storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging. The dialogues were the highlight. The script was well written and the screenplay was excellent. Background score was haunting and all the songs were picturised well. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was crisp and sharp to the point. Costumes were natural and suited the characters while the art department was upto the mark. Pawan Kalyan is the showstealer and he scores all the way. Shruti Haasan fits the bill rightly and she has developed a very seductive quotient. Abhimanyu Singh was perfect as the villain. Tanikella Bharani was good. Suhasini was standard. Ajay was apt. Ravu Ramesh was impressive. Ali and Brahmanandam provided few smiles. The others were there to fill the screen.

Conclusion: Though the film is the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg, a lot of changes have been made to the script to suit the Telugu nativity. While the first half was filled with entertainment, romance, comedy and songs, the second half had few serious angles of sentiment and an added dose of comedy. With good masala formula and an energetic pace, the film scores in all departments. At the box office, this will appeal to Pawan fans in a huge way along with the other genres of audience, the film looks set to register a bumper hit.
