Dammu Tollywood Movie Review
Story : A routine masala tale, the story begins with Ramachandra (ntr) who grows as an orphan in the city and his target is earn Rs 50 lakhs at any cost and only then fall in love. However, he never does anything illegal and has a lot of respect and value for life. Through few good deeds, he manages to earn that money and at that point, he chances upon Sathya (trisha) and falls in love with her. But Sathya is a rich girl and mentions that her father is keen about family background. An advertisement for an heir brings Ramachandra to an old rich man (kota) and after an interview of sorts, he is chosen. Ramachandra becomes Raja Vasireddy and here he gets to have the affection of a mother (bhanupriya) and sisters. But there is also a villain (nasser) who is blood thirsty and has been waiting from a long time to strike on Raja Vasireddy. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Dammu Telugu Cinema Review
Presentation : The director has come up with a regular storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not that appealing. The dialogues were power packed only at few places. The script was not having strength and the screenplay was below the mark. Background score was not matching at all places and two songs were picturized well. Cinematography was excellent. Editing was necessary at few places. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was rich. NTR was energy personified and he gave his best to pump voltage. Trisha looks sweet but her role was very weak. Kartheeka is more of a sex bomb but she fails in looks department. Nasser was natural. Ali brought few smiles. Brahmanandam was boring. Venu did his bit as required. Bhanupriya, Abhinaya, Suman, Kota and others were there to fill the screen. Good talent like Sampath and Kishore were wasted.

Conclusion : Given the names of the hero and director it is natural to have very high expectations on the film but then it is not up to the mark. While the first half is quite mild with some stale sequences of romance and amateur comedy, it is the interval bang which brings in good kick. The second half has got some high voltage sequences but due to the sentiment and weak melodrama twists, the momentum gets hampered. Overall, this is a film which might appeal to action lovers and a few NTR fans but not for regular audience.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Its NTR show all the way.
