A hilariously gripping affair, the story is about Manukuttan (Indrajith) and his gang which consists of Savior, Avookar, Satheeshan, Sadhu and Sugunan, all of them are based in the backdrop of Malabar area. Manukuttan is a very middle class guy but then the entire gang is the spirit and soul of the Ilanjikkara village despite their pranks on the Sorakalyanam tradition where they follow the custom of teasing and mocking the prospective grooms till the time they get married and sometimes the act continues even after wedding too. Thanks to the gang, the weddings in that area are full of energy and life and there is a lot of humor happening. In this process comes Smitha along with her family from Calcutta and starts living in the village. Eventually, Manukuttan gets engaged to Smitha without knowing the dark past she had in Calcuttta and things begin to take an interesting turn from there on. He is aware that it is time he has to redeem for all his pranks and despite his best efforts to evade, he cannot escape from the verbal attacks by Satheeshan and gang. But this leads to some serious situations in his personal life and how he manages to come out of all this, watch the movie to know the outcome.

The director duo of Rajesh and Faizal has to be given full credit for coming out with some really interesting subject and they had the brilliance to present it in a proper fashion with perfect narration. The screenplay was strong and the script was gripping enough to generate interest in the film. The music has been of decent level though there are not any catchy numbers, the editing is crisp and the camera has captured the beautiful locales of Malabar nicely. This is more of a group of people present in one shot so though the central characters did not have much scope to exhibit their acting skills, Indrajith managed to stand apart with his prowess. Gopika had a brief role but then her expressions and emotional demonstration was good enough to give her an elegant presence. The film belongs to the entire group of Mamukoyya, Bijukuttan, Suraj Venjarammood and others who have excelled in their performances.

A marriage is a normal affair and its presentation on the movies is also very straight, but this is the first time that a tradition has been portrayed with a lot of fervor and enthusiasm and the entire team has put in a lot of efforts to get the right comic timing. The film was more like a journey and the audience has not felt that there must be all the ingredients such as violence, romance and other elements. This film has come across as a breath of fresh air in the presence of the mundane movies that are appearing in the theatres. The film has everything in it get the hit tag and this will surely form a respite to the industry which has been ailing with constant flops.
