Honganasu Movie Review
  Movie Review : Honganasu
Rating : 2 / 5
Banner : -
Cast : Premkumar, Anjali, Anuradha Mehta, Anant Nag, Tarun, Sharan, Ramesh Bhat and Others
Music : Hamsalekha
Producer: Ajay Gowda
Director: Rathnaja
Released Date: January 19, 2008

Story:
A master debacle from Rathnaja, the story is about Sagar ( Premkumar) who is very attached to his family and puts them in front of everything. Paying heed to his late father's dream, Sagar sets on a mission to get Soumya (Anuradha Mehta) married to his brother Santosh but then in order to do that he must first see his sister married. His prayers get answered but then with a twist, he has to go in for a mutual exchange if he has to see his sister getting married and before doing that, he needs to talk to Impana (Anjali) a student of the dental college and convince her about the situation. When he actually does that, he comes back home only to discover that Santosh is not at all interested in Soumya and this crumbles the dream of his father leaving Sagar in a very pitiable condition.

Presentation:
Rathnaja has yet again created an absolute failure. His thoughts on a subject and his style of presentation and narration are simply ridiculous. It really looks like he needs to get back to the school of direction and get some basics right. The story lacked grip at any given point and the script was very loose. Cinematography was passable and editing was immature. The only saving grace to the film is the music by Hamsalekha who has given some nice tunes. Premkumar, the hero needs to be careful on choosing his assignments as such films will bring down his name and opportunities. He has become a puppet in the hands of the director and his role lacked any strength. Anjali makes an impressive appearance andhas the potential to make it big.

Conclusion:
A haphazard tale of sentiment, romance and drama with no connection between themselves, the first half of the movie goes in its own pace leaving the audience scratching their heads while the second half becomes even more fragile hitting the nail on the audience's head. The director needs to think at films from the audience perspective and not his. The movie has nothing that can save it from sinking badly.

Bharatstudent verdict : Terrible!! Best for a splitting headache!!
