Chellidharoo Sampigeyaa Sandalwood Movie Review
Soumya (Biyanka) is the daughter of Swami Gowda (Ananth Nag) who comes to her village from city. Potha Raju (Prashanth) is the son of the more haughty and thick skinned Made Gowda (Doddanna), who becomes the fiance to Soumya on the decision of elders. The entire story runs in village. But Soumya reveals her flashback to Potha Raju saying that she loved Kishore (Vishwas) in the city. Then the story takes a turn. How Swami Gowda reacts to that and how he tackles the entire issue. How Potha Raju avoids marriage with Soumya in right manner? What would be the climax? That's all to be watched on screen.
Chellidharoo Sampigeyaa Kannada Cinema Review
The director has come up with a simple storyline but then it is his presentation that actually scores. Even the narrative part is quite gripping with some neat dialogues and script work. The screenplay was handled very well and it worked for the movie. Music again was another highlight that worked for the movie. Cinematography was neat and the editing was apt. Costumes and art department did a good job with the surroundings and suited the moods of the audience. Coming to the cast, Ananth Nag is the highlight in the film. He acted as typical landlord in the right sense and at times he manages to touch the heart of the audience with his performance as a caring father. Bianca is good and her performance is upto the mark. Spoorthy is seductive at her work but then she has to work on getting the required grace in her face. Prashant and Vishwas did justice to their roles. The others like Doddanna, Sundar Raj, Jayaram have done justice to their roles.
Chellidharoo Sampigeyaa Filem Review
The film happens to be a remake of the Telugu hit 'Chandamama'. Though there are few hiccups in screenplay that tests the patience the typical style of Narayan narration and characterizations are seen which makes the story part appealing. While the first half of the movie goes about with the romance and the comedy, the second half gets into melodrama and sentiment. Overall, it is a good package of emotions that will appeal to the family audience and coupled with some good performances.

Bharatstudent Verdict:   Can be watched.
