Nakshatra Bollywood Movie Review
A stale tale, the story begins with Ajay (shubh), an aspiring screenwriter who gets an opportunity to prepare a script. This is for a thriller film and more than the opportunity, Ajay is excited with the fact that he would get a chance to prove his mettle to Jiya (sabina), the girl he is in love with. Ajay is asked to work on the theme of robbery and he works hard and prepares the script. However, things go wrong when he gets arrested for a murder which he never did. In comes Ajay's family friend Sharad (anupam) who assures that everything will be taken care of. However, things get complicated as more murders take place. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Nakshatra Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a good thought but then he was unable to conceive it rightly on the screen. The presentation was alright but the narrative was poor. Dialogues were okay, the script was weak and the screenplay was pathetic. Background score added to the moods but songs were not required at all. Cinematography was the saving grace. Costumes and art department were justified. Editing was missing at key places. Shubh has shown good improvement as an actor and he has potential, Sabina was sexy and had good screen presence, Anupam Kher was wasted, Gajendra Chauhan was normal, Anant Jog was average, Milind Soman was alright, Rozza looks ravishing in the item song, the others didn't have much to offer.
Nakshatra Filem Review
The key for any thriller or suspense film is the crux of the plot and if it is a killer story then the villain's face must be discovered only in the end. However, due to the poor screenplay and narration, it doesn't take long for the viewers to guess who the real culprit is. While the first half looks okay, the second half gets monotonous and takes away the interest in the plot. At the box office, due to the absence of branded stars and a rather flimsy narrative of what could be a good thriller, the chances of clicking are very weak.
